What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We also use browser local storage: technically different, but the same rules apply.

Necessary

Required for the site to work: they remember the selected language, your choice in the consent banner and checkout session parameters. Without them the site cannot function, so they are set under § 25 (2) TDDDG without separate consent.

Lifetime: from one session up to 12 months for the consent record.

Analytics

They help us understand which pages are used and where visitors get lost. They are set only after your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG.

Lifetime up to 14 months. You can withdraw consent at any time in the cookie settings at the bottom of the page; the files are removed on your next visit.

Payment

During checkout Stripe sets its own files for fraud prevention. They appear only if you proceed to pay for a guide.

How to manage them

You can change your decision in the consent banner and in your browser settings, where the files can also be deleted. Disabling necessary files may break checkout and language switching.
